Imagine you’ve just landed in Casablanca, the vibrant gateway to Morocco. We will be waiting for you to take you through this fascinating city, starting with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, an iconic symbol of the city. Then, we’ll head to Rabat, the political and administrative capital, where you’ll explore the historic Oudaias Kasbah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the imposing Hassan Tower. But that’s not all, at the end of the day we will arrive in Meknes, an imperial city with unique charm. A delicious dinner and comfortable accommodation in a local hotel await you.
After a revitalizing breakfast, we’ll dive into the rich history of Meknes. We’ll stroll through the vibrant El Hdim Square, you’ll be amazed by the majestic Bab El Mansour gate and we’ll explore the Jewish quarter and the historic royal granaries. Then, our adventure continues towards the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the sacred city of Moulay Idriss, where time seems to have stood still. We’ll end the day arriving in Fez, a city that will captivate you with its ancient charm. A special night in a traditional riad, immersed in the city’s history, awaits you.
Get ready for a day full of discoveries in Fez. We will take you on a tour of its labyrinthine medina, where the bustling souks and narrow streets will show you a different world filled with mosques and minarets. We’ll explore palaces and monuments that seem straight out of a fairy tale. Additionally, you’ll have the unique opportunity to visit the tanners’ and potters’ cooperatives, to closely appreciate the exquisite Moroccan art. We’ll spend the night again in the riad, enjoying the local hospitality.
Today, after breakfast, we’ll embark on an exciting journey to the Merzouga Desert. Our route will take us through the charming city of Ifrane, nicknamed «the Switzerland of Morocco», and the peaceful Azrou Cedar Forest, where you’ll have the opportunity to interact with the local monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, we’ll cross the impressive Ziz valley until reaching Merzouga. Here, the experience becomes magical as we ride camels to admire the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp, enjoying Berber music and a traditional dinner under a starry sky.
We’ll start the day early to witness an unforgettable sunrise over the dunes. After returning to the hotel for breakfast and a refresh, we’ll head to the vibrant Rissani market, an authentic experience full of color and life. Then, we’ll cross the lush palm groves of Tourog and Tinjdad, heading towards the impressive Todra Gorges. The day will end with a trip through El Kelaa Magona and the Skoura oasis, arriving in Ouarzazate at night, where we’ll stay and dine in a local hotel.
The morning will be dedicated to discovering the charms of Ouarzazate, including the historic Taourirt Kasbah and the famous film studios. Then, we’ll head to the stunning fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the setting for many famous movies. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey to Marrakech, passing through the majestic Tizi N’ Tichka pass and visiting an argan oil cooperative, where you’ll learn about its benefits. Upon arriving in Marrakech around 6:00 PM, you’ll have free time to explore the iconic Jamaa el Fna Square and enjoy an authentic dinner. The night will be spent in a local Riad.
This morning will be special, as you explore the fascinating Medina of Marrakech with a local guide. We’ll admire the imposing wall surrounding the medina, the famous Koutoubia Minaret, and visit historic places like the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Majorelle Gardens. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Jamaa El Fna Square, where the atmosphere completely changes from day to night. You’ll have free time to immerse yourself in the art of bargaining in the souks or discover the hidden corners of the medina at your own pace. Dinner and accommodation will again be in the Riad.
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a free morning in Marrakech until the agreed time for the transfer to the airport. We will personally accompany you to assist with your luggage check-in and show you the boarding gate. Here our services end and your incredible 8-day journey.
